Help us beat dementia
Dementia is one of the biggest challenges we face today and affects 850,000 people in the UK. The only way to beat dementia is through research. For research to progress, we need more people to take part in more studies. Can you help us beat dementia?
Get involved
It is only through research that we can understand what causes the disease, develop effective treatments, improve care and, hopefully, one day find a cure.
The Join Dementia Research (JDR) register allows you to register your interest in hearing more about what dementia research is happening in your area and gives you the opportunity to participate locally.
The register is a shared initiative between the Department of Health, the National Institute for Health Research (NIHR), Alzheimer's Society, Alzheimer's Research UK and Alzheimer Scotland.
Once you've registered, the NIHR Clinical Research Network: Greater Manchester (CRN: GM) team, based at the Manchester Royal Infirmary, will inform you about the dementia studies that may be of interest to you.
