The University of Manchester offers a rich and varied programme of teaching on dementia and neurodegenerative disease at degree, master's and doctorate levels.
This includes dementia-specific programmes and course units such as the MSc in Dementia Care (with Simon Burrrow as pathway lead) that has been running at Manchester since 2003 and from which many students have gone on to hold senior, specialist dementia care positions in health and social care across the north-west.
We also offer a number of CPD units in Dementia Care for practitioners working in health and social care.
People who live with dementia (including Professor Peter Mittler CBE and Dr Ann Johnson MBE, among others) make a vital contribution to our teaching on various programmes of study.
